Life Lesson #3... Willpower vs Freedom

Willpower can produce short-term change, but it creates constant internal stress because you haven’t dealt with the root cause.” ~Rick Warren we are powerful people, we can use willpower to do pretty much anything.... but if you have to rely on willpower, there is a constant battle inside of you. (sounds stressful)...Dealing with WHY you do certian things ( turn to food for comfort, sabotage your efforts, Push people away...whatever your battle... etc) is the key to living a stress free and successful life. Asking God to show you the root of the problem and being obedient and ready to make the change... to give up that comfort that we hold so strongly to and letting truth set you free.

LIFE LESSON #2-Literally

This lesson is simple and straight forward... Never add your brother to your SNAP CHAT app unless you want a snap chat of them sitting on the toilet taking a dump. End of lesson.

LIFE LESSON #1- Inevitable Fail

If someone ever tells you that it is humanly impossible to do something.... Take their word for it... don't try it! Life lesson learned one night while working at IHOP (in college).. another server told me that it is impossible to eat a spoonful of cinnamon by itself. I laughed..."I eat cinnamon on things all the time... what would it matter it is by itself or not... I can do it" so I tried it.... needless to say, im pretty sure that if I am ever murdered and an autopsy is required... some CSI is going to be very confused as to why there is Cinnamon residue in my sinus cavaties....it will definetly add a level of intritgue to the case. (Until they find this blog of course) But serisously.... Take their word for it...don't be the hero... or at least sit back and watch someone else do it and fail.

After 27 years of Life experience, I may not have learned all that much that applies to many of the worlds' population, but I have learned things :).....Funny things, Weird things, Deep and Shallow things, Sad things, Exciting things, completely Pointless things and some very very Valuable things. First of all, I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ.... I am a Wife (To my best friend), a Mother of two, Daughter, Sister (of 4 siblings), Friend (of hopefully many), Full Time employee, and Musician/Song writer. I decided that I wanted to give myself a challenge to blog. Get some one my amazing and not so amazing thoughts down in writing... and lucky for you.... be able to share it with whomever feels like reading it. (Blog fit that best) I want this Blog to be an outlet for me to reflect and share the little bit that I have learned and will continue to learn. I hope someone out there gets to take away something memorable, whatever it may be. I have made the first goal to be 50 Life Lessons from Jessica! so lets get this started eh?! (no, im not canadian. I just like saying eh!)

Love is, "I choose You"

Love is, “I choose you.”

Whatever the outlook, whatever the circumstance, whatever the sacrifice or the required effort in Love, it all breaks down simply to, “I choose you”…
There has long been a misconception that love is a feeling, butterflies that float around in your stomach when you are truly “in love”…and when you no longer have that feeling, people believe “love” is gone and slowly make their way to the love “check out line”.
However, in honest and full hearted love, there is no such a line neither is there a need for a return on any effort or cost put in to that love.
Once you have made this choice to Love, it is a choice that constantly chooses the same thing or person no matter what changes occur, whether in your control or not.

This idea of, “I choose you” love, assures that the person receiving your love knows that no matter what battle they are fighting, goal they are attempting or road they are debating on walking down, they can reach their hand down, and know without a doubt, that your hand is waiting for theirs.
